2 members of Job Centre Plus are based within the Resettlement Suite and work closely with the CRT. The team interview all new receptions within the first couple of days, close down their claim and ensure final benefit payments are received.

They also provide advice on the right type of benefit for the prisoners and/or their families.

Along with dealing with benefits the team also help with employment; initially they can liaise with employers to keep jobs open and, upon release, arrange return to work. If this is not possible they carry out job searches for those who require it.
