All visitors must bring identification with them and be able to clearly identify themselves to be the person they are claiming to be.

The following forms of identification are acceptable:

Adult visitors may use ONE of the following:

  • Passport, including foreign passports and time expired passports (no longer than 3 months) where the photograph is still recognisable
  • EC ID card
  • Driving licence – with current address
  • OAP bus pass issued by local authority
  • Employer / Student ID card – must clearly show the name of the visitor and employer or education establishment – must have a photograph or signature – the employer or educational establishment named on the card must be known to exist

If these are unavailable, a combination of TWO of the following may be accepted:

  • Birth / Marriage certificate
  • Rail or Bus pass with photograph
  • Employers / Student pass or ID if not accepted as above
  • Trade union or National Student Union membership card
  • Rent books (if currently being used)
  • Medical cards – with current address
  • A current utility bill (i.e. gas, electric or telephone bill) not more than 3 months old
